DeepSeek releases V4.1-Flash-1017 with MIT-licensed weights

A new MIT-licensed DeepSeek model with agent tooling keeps pressure on open-weight coding rivals.

DeepSeek made V4.1-Flash-1017 official with MIT-licensed weights, a 200K context window and stronger agentic coding. It also added standalone search and fetch APIs for agents at 5 yuan per 1,000 calls.
