Zlio has no ads, no cookies and no tracking. We collect only what you give us, to do what you asked.

If you leave your email for the upcoming newsletter, we keep that address and the date you signed up, to tell you when the newsletter launches and then to send it to you. Legal basis: your consent. We keep it until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
We keep your name, email, message and the page you wrote from, to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to messages. We keep it for 24 months, then delete it.
On our server, hosted by Hostinger in France, and in a Google Sheet; contact messages are also forwarded by email to the publisher (Google Workspace / Gmail). Hostinger and Google act as our processors. We never sell or share your data with anyone else.
Zlio counts visitors without cookies. Your browser keeps a few settings in its local storage, on your device only: whether you were already counted, the time of your last page (to count visits), your last visit (to show new stories), your filter and compact-view choices, and whether you closed or used the newsletter box. Our server only keeps daily totals. Your IP address is used for a few minutes in memory to limit abuse and is never stored.
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and source icons from DuckDuckGo's icon service; these providers receive your IP address when your browser requests them. Links to articles take you to other sites, which have their own policies.
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw your consent at any time: write to zlio@berrebi.org. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
