TSMC weighs making advanced AI memory chips, report says

TSMC entering memory would reshape AI hardware supply currently dominated by SK Hynix, Samsung and Micron.

TSMC is reportedly considering expanding into advanced memory chip manufacturing, such as 3D DRAM, which would give the world's largest chipmaker a bigger share of the AI hardware supply chain.
