OpenAI closes $11B portion of funding at $1.25T valuation

Reinforces record AI startup valuations and funding scale.

OpenAI has received roughly $11 billion, the initial part of a round valuing it at $1.25 trillion, with the company targeting about $9 billion more. SoftBank is reportedly in talks to invest.
