METR finds AI use may have doubled Anthropic's R&D pace

It offers evidence that AI automation is accelerating frontier AI development itself.

An independent METR assessment found Anthropic's models are improving roughly twice as fast as before, suggesting AI use inside the company may have doubled its R&D pace.
