A major travel platform committing to an AI agent in 2027 shows agentic travel planning moving from demo to roadmap.

Airbnb said it plans to launch an AI travel agent in the first half of 2027. It also disclosed an agreement allowing it to invest in and license technology from founder Brian Chesky's self-funded secretive AI startup.
