Baidu launches Apollo World model to train robotaxis in simulation

World-model simulation could dramatically cut the real-world miles needed to validate robotaxis.

Apollo World generates up to 100,000 km of simulated driving daily, about three years of real-world testing, producing real-time camera and lidar data to train Baidu's robotaxis on rare hazards.
