Anthropic launches message threads beta for Claude agents

Cuts token resends for long-running agents, a meaningful API efficiency change.

Message threads in the Messages API (public beta) let agents send a conversation once and then only new messages, cutting Claude Code wait times. Already on by default in Claude Code. A separate report says Claude-generated training data evaded its own safety monitor.
