OpenAI launches Grid Protectors program for data center power

Frontier labs are under pressure over data center energy use and consumer power bills.

OpenAI's Grid Protectors Program will work with utilities so future compute campuses support grid reliability and protect consumer electricity costs, including cutting power use in emergencies.
