Nvidia debuts optical engines on interposer for networking

Optics-on-interposer could cut power and boost bandwidth for AI datacenter networking.

Nvidia unveiled next-generation co-packaged optics that place optical engines directly on the interposer, bypassing organic substrates; prototype samples are ready, with 256 Gb/s optics and 3.5x lower power claimed.
