UK pledges £100M AI biosecurity lab backed by OpenAI, Anthropic

Major governments are funding AI biosecurity monitoring with frontier lab cooperation.

The UK announced £100M ($134M) for an AI Biosecurity Lab supported by OpenAI, Anthropic and Google DeepMind, part of roughly $800M in AI security funding to help government assess technology risks.
