DeepSeek raises $15B, benchmark flags accounting weakness

A $15B raise would substantially boost one of China's leading open-model labs.

Bloomberg reports DeepSeek raised $15 billion in a challenge to leading US labs. Separately, the DualEntry benchmark found DeepSeek's latest update scores lower on accounting work, with open models trailing on consistency.
