Prosecutors say arrested ex-OpenAI engineer had Saudi backing

The case raises questions about insider risk and foreign influence at frontier labs.

US prosecutors say a former OpenAI employee accused of planting a device appears to have Saudi backing and was in frequent contact with a Saudi royal, and asked the court to detain him.
